1913 Land Act

The Natives Land Act (No. 27 of 1913), also known as the Black Land Act, was declared on Thursday 19 June 1913 and made it law that Black People could no longer own land. 87% of the population was restricted to 13% of the land. This racial discrimination was further entrenched through Apartheid legislation. See more on the 1913 Land Act
